What is the starting capital?

First underlying asset right now is the private land and buildings in Brazil that the two founders of KORPOS donated to the Foundation. This puts tangible value in each token. It is roughly 295275 square feet / 90.000 m2 with a schoolhouse of 1312 square feet/ 400 m2.
Writing this, beginning November 2021, estimated worth of the land is Reais 3,600,000.– (= dollar 720,000.– ) plus the buildings = Reais 750,000.– ( around 136,500.– dollar ). In total approximately 856,500 dollar.

Where is the budget spent on?

– acquiring deteriorated farmland
– setting up the educational programm (workhops, masterclasses)
– building infrastructure for turism: eco-adventures, eco-sabbaticals, volunteers
– hiring expert personnel in regenerative farming
– renovation of farm-buildings, buying of equipment

The net profit after taxes and costs goes to investment in more acres to regenerate.

Advantage of this funding: There are no expensive loans to pay back to banks!

Will LOT increase in value?

As with all investments, we cannot promise anything. But we expect an increase, because:

1. LOT represents tangible value in the real world: land with sustainable food production.

2. We will re-fertilize the land and produce sweet watersprings. These will be scarce commodities in the future because conventional agriculture is destroying the topsoil and water-cycle.

3. With the produce of the land we will acquire more acres over time, so each token will represent ever more square feet of land. There is a limited amount of tokens in existence, so if more people like to buy, scarcity begins and the price goes up.

4. World population grows, so more farmland will be necessary. Bill Gates saw that coming. He is the biggest owner of farmland in de US now. With his track record, it might be a good idea to follow his sectors of choice, but of course with completely different practices !

5. The trend for health food without toxins perseveres.

6. Under Agenda 2030 the use of oil is not done, so the input of petrochemicals in agriculture will be too expensive. Our nature-inclusive method is best.

Is this Token a so called 'security'?

No it isn’t. There is no dividend, the proceeds will be reinvested to protect more land. And the tokens are no shares. A token is a symbol, By buying the token you crowdfund the project. Later the community can propose a different structure, but legislation is to be awaited.

Why don't you launch on a stock-market?

Cryptos are the new means of public funding for innovative ideas. To enter a stock-market, one must have millions in assets, needs to exist at least 3 years, and has to pay expensive mediators, who take a cut of 10% of the launch!

What is KORPOS?

KORPOS has two pillars: the foundation and the private company. The structure will be fine-tuned with our advisors.
The foundation owns the land, and the company produces on the land.
KORPOS the Company is market-oriented. Proceeds will be reinvested in more land. 

Which guarantees are build-in for quality?

The KORPOS Foundation is in charge of quality control and owns the land forever in it’s Treasury, under strict rules for land-use. The Foundation also keeps 51% of the existing LOTs out of roulation. These measures avoid hostile take-overs or other criminality. The final format will be subjected to adjustments.

The Foundation is democratically governed by it’s members (the tokenholders). Anybody with over 100 LOTs can make proposals for change (Referenda). The Foundation has an ethical commission of experts that controls the decisions of the board of directors of the company. Ultimate touch-stone is always ecology. The ethical commission also appoints quality controllers who audit the farmers who work for the company.

The ethical commission publishes it’s findings and decisions on the blockchain, immutable and uncensored.

Is this project DE-centralized?

In the future we will possibly move to a DAO structure in order to make it a truly decentralised project.

Licensing?

All intellectual property rights belong to KORPOS (trademarks, copyright). The Foundation (or the DAO) will own the land in the treasury. The finetuning depends on legislation.
